Hello,

I would like to know how to switch messages back to iMessage, please? Everything is turned on, I've tried disabling it, turning it back on, restarting, and everything, but the iMessages are not returning to the conversation where I had to send my messages as texts because they weren't sending.

Thank you for your help.

Good evening,

normally I believe that a message is when you send a message without being connected to a Wi-Fi or 4G/5G network.

But iMessage is precisely when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Yes, I sent a message because my girlfriend doesn't have reception where she is right now, so we're messaging each other, but we don't know how to switch back to iMessage.

To switch back to iMessage, you just need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network preferably.

Yes, but I am already connected to a wifi network and switching to 4G doesn't change anything either

To switch from a standard message to iMessage, you can check the following steps:

Make sure your iPhone is connected to the Internet. iMessage requires an Internet connection to function properly.

Ensure that the iMessage settings are enabled. To check this, go to "Settings" -> "Messages" and make sure the "Enable iMessage" option is turned on.

Check that the email address associated with your Apple ID is correct. Go to "Settings" -> "Apple ID, iCloud, iTunes & App Store" -> "iCloud" and verify that the email address linked to your Apple ID is accurate.

Restart your iPhone. To do this, press and hold the "Power" button until the "Slide to power off" slider appears. Slide the slider to turn off your iPhone. Once the screen is off, press the power button again to restart your iPhone.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you can also try turning iMessage off and on again, or resetting your iPhone's network settings. If the problem persists, it may be best to contact Apple for further assistance.

I’ve done everything except reset the network settings. What do I lose by resetting this?

I looked at what it does and I don't want to do that. Don't you have a solution?

By resetting the network settings, you will lose all the Wi-Fi passwords to which you were connected, and you will have to re-enter all the passwords to connect.
