Bonjour,

The mention "Delivered" only means that the message has been received by a device. However, it does not specify on which device the message has been received. Indeed, if the user has an iPhone, an iPad, and a Mac, the message may well have been delivered to the iPad or the Mac while the iPhone is turned off. It will then be marked as Delivered.

Furthermore, for the message to be marked as Read, the user must open the message, but more importantly, they must have activated "Read Receipts" on the device with which they are reading the message.

If the message changes from Read to Delivered, it is likely because the recipient has disabled read receipts in the meantime. Some users seem to say that this occurs when the iMessage app is killed.

To ensure proper reading, you should ask your contact to click on the little i at the top right and check "Send Read Receipt" :-)

Hello,

I was wondering, when I write to someone via my cellphone, the message stays blue but doesn't get delivered. However, on my Mac, the message is also there and says delivered underneath.
The opposite is also true; if I write from my Mac, the message doesn't get delivered, but on my cellphone it shows as delivered. I don't quite understand, even though I suspect I have PROBABLY been blocked.
Does anyone know what the reason is?
