Hello,
For the connection, see the manual on page 5
The manual: http://lgenevet.free.fr/userguide/ug_bolab6000.pdf
For the LG television, which model?
It's very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there... -

No audio output on this television..

Check if an audio output exists on the device connected via HDMI to this television

Nothing is ever simple.
The Beolab 6000 manual says that when you don't have the original cables, you should use the RCA input.

This is a test to see if the speakers work, so either:
- Connect the phone with a jack/RCA cable, one RCA plug to the right speaker and the other to the left speaker, and adjust the volume with the phone.- Use an RCA/RCA cable connected to the Line OUT of the cassette player, and on the speaker side, one plug to the right Beolab and the other to the left Beolab. I don't think it's possible to adjust the volume.
So it might make a lot of noise....It's better to try with the phone.

More than obvious answer, thank you, I tested with a phone and one speaker works less well than the other
Thank you
