Hello everyone,
I bought Microsoft Office 2019 two years ago as a single PC version (for around twenty euros). I haven't had any problems until now. But since last weekend, the following error message has appeared:

Hello.
You have changed your configuration (hardware modification) and this version of Office at a low price was only valid for your previous configuration.
You need to purchase a new Office key or switch to LibreOffice.

Hello everyone,
Thank you Bazfile for your response.
To clarify my situation, I bought my computer in January 2021, OS Windows 10. In June 2022, an update upgraded me to Windows 11 without giving me a choice. I had no problems or alerts at that time with Office. Aside from this forced update, I have not changed my PC's configuration or replaced any hardware (I wouldn't know how to do that). This is why I don't understand why my Office would no longer work. Could you provide an explanation?
Today, even though the previous alert has passed (see previous message), Office displays a new message:

Do you think that the upgrade from W10 to W11 could have caused this Office malfunction?
I don't know, you should ask Microsoft. But since your license is only €20, I assume you didn't buy it from Microsoft. I think that given the price, you might as well get a new license or switch to LibreOffice, which is free.

Hello everyone.....
Before purchasing a new license as suggested by bazfile...try entering the license number you have again via Home ► Account ► Change Product Key Number (not entirely sure this will work but it's worth a try)
For info, and from experience, during major updates of Windows (e.g., from W10 to W11), license keys acquired at a very low cost are no longer recognized by Microsoft and you have to renew the purchase....but in my opinion, it's worth it...
Hello,
Indeed, in this case, we are dealing with volume licenses that have been misused: either the number of that same license reused by definition on n PCs has been exceeded, or the organization holding that license no longer has it, or it concerns "single activation" licenses, which means that a migration of operating system could have been sufficient to be considered a new installation, and thus rejected.
In any case, the idea is probably that it will be necessary to renew the purchase of another low-cost Office 2019 or 2021 license, the price shouldn't change much (nor the features...)
Hello everyone,
thank you for all your responses. I followed the majority's advice and purchased a key for Office 2021.
Do you know if I need to uninstall Office 2019 in order to install 2021? Could there be any issues between these two versions?
Thanks again in advance for your answers.

Hello,
Yes, and the simple control panel is usually not enough; use the Office uninstaller tool:

Thank you all,
my problem is solved, I was able to reinstall Office and everything works.
I thank you for your help.
