Hello,

I'm using: Windows 10 Home

I can't install the Realtek network driver, I get the following error message:

"the realtek network controller was not found. if deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable."

I checked in the device manager and "Realtek ****" does not appear in the network devices.

I have already checked:

In the BIOS to see if it was enabled: Check
Functional network card: check

I also noticed there might be an error related to the RAM, so I removed it and will reposition it to retest, but I'm not very hopeful.

Do you have any ideas to help me out?

Thank you!

Hello,

Since when do you have this problem?

If not recent, perform a Windows repair.

Is the BIOS up to date?

If not, update it.

If yes, go into the BIOS, set the default settings, and see how it goes.

Go to the device manager
View
Check --> Show hidden devices

See if the Realtek ethernet is present in network adapters
If not, check in system devices.

I'll check this when I get home from work and I'll get back to you.

I’ll reinstall Windows 10 if it’s still not good.

And if it’s still not good, I'll try with Windows 11. (suggestion that a technician from LDLC made to me).

I selected "show hidden devices" and unfortunately still nothing in "network adapters" or "system devices".

I reinstalled Windows 10 and it's still the same.

I'm trying with Windows 11

Hello,

I just built my tower and I was in the process of installing the plugins when I encountered this problem.

So it's really very recent.

Thank you for your response.

Hello,

is it the network controller integrated into your motherboard? Can you give us its reference?

Hello,

Sorry, I didn't quite understand the question. ^^

If you are talking about the motherboard reference, it's an Asus Tuf x670 Gaming Plus.

Thank you for your help :)

Are you connecting directly to the RJ45 port on the motherboard, do you not have a separate network card?

Have you tried this driver? :

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM5/M6674/Realtek_LAN_Driver_V1125.6.215.2022_Windows_11_64-bit.zip

(Available on the support page for your motherboard here)

Thank you and yes, I tried the driver from the Asus website and it didn't change anything.

Now it works, I'll let you check below to see by what miracle it works now.

The BIOS is up to date.

And I reset the settings to default and still nothing :'/.

I connected with my phone to use a hotspot and the internet works that way.

So buckle up, after doing my 1 million tests... in 3 days...
Here’s one of the tests I did that was conclusive... I can’t believe it, it’s so abnormal...

Bios:

Realtek enabled -> doesn’t work

Realtek disabled -> doesn’t work

Realtek enabled -> doesn’t work

Reinstall Windows 10

Realtek enabled -> doesn’t work

Realtek disabled -> doesn’t work

Realtek enabled -> WORKS ???????
All this to say that I don't think I will buy from Asus anymore, I've always used MSI and have never had a single problem with my setups.

Thank you for your help anyway!
