Hello,

The driver for my network card seems to mysteriously disable / malfunction when my computer goes to sleep, and it no longer supports the Wi-Fi function (but it detects the Ethernet cable).

This isn't the first time I've encountered this problem, and I had previously resolved it (at least I thought) by installing a newer Realtek driver. I installed a driver from 2020 yesterday and the problem seemed fixed, until now. Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver doesn't help, and I can't reactivate the Wi-Fi.

I have an Asus x200ma running Windows 8.1. Does anyone have a solution or an idea? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Windows + R
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

Go to Network adapters
Right-click on the wireless adapter
Properties
Power Management tab
Uncheck --> Allow the computer to turn off.........
OK.
Restart the PC..
