The battery of my MacBook Pro has disappeared!

Hello everyone,
I have a 2015 MacBook Pro (A1502 EMC2835 running Monterey 12.6.1) that was working fine until yesterday. Usually, I only plug it in when needed and use it mostly on battery. I rarely shut it down and just close the lid when I'm done.
However, yesterday when I opened it, it was off. So I plugged it in, started it up, and saw the battery was at 1% and there was no "little lightning bolt" in the battery icon at the top of the screen. I checked the battery usage history in the settings and noticed something strange: with the lid closed as usual, it had spent the night with a relatively stable battery level until about 6 AM, then a sudden drop in charge level from 6 AM until it shut down.
While I was looking at this history, still plugged in, the battery was visibly not charging because it shut down abruptly. The charger light (original) was still lit up in orange.
I turned it back on, and to my surprise, the battery icon at the top of the screen had disappeared. I checked the system preferences: the battery had disappeared too! And the system report also shows nothing regarding power (0 cycles, 0mAh, not charging, etc.)
I have reset the SMC twice but nothing changes.
I searched online but I can't find anyone who has had this issue. I should note that I replaced the battery at the beginning of the year, and I had never had a problem before.
If anyone has a lead, I would appreciate it!
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
I'm going to ask a simple question:
Where did you change the battery?
The answer has already been given, but I'm asking the question just in case :)

I knew it, but oh well.
So a generic battery....
The original battery must have lasted you between 3 and 5 years or more, but that's the average.
Given that you put in a piece of crap battery, sorry, a generic battery, it didn't even last a year.
There you go, just to be sure, nothing stops you from checking if it got disconnected.I see them every day, so I had my suspicions.
Nothing to do but change it again.
Normally, we would decline the service because it is not possible to protect the technician from a potential leak or any other incident related to a non-original battery. As you could see during your disassembly, the cells are glued and are not meant to be unglued. The top case needs to be replaced, so see if you can find one in store, but vintage machine + non-original battery.

Thank you for your reply.
I took off the back cover to check, the battery was indeed connected. I disconnected and reconnected it but no change.
I contacted an authorized Apple store and indeed, if the problem comes from the battery, they replace the Topcase.
I also submitted a warranty request to the seller of my battery. They are willing to exchange it if needed, but if they don’t acknowledge that their battery is defective, I’m afraid they will charge me for it a second time.
Do you know where I can get an "original" battery? (and not a piece of crap like you said????)

Apple does not sell parts
So it is not possible to obtain them through official channels.
You still have the second-hand market, but you don't really know the condition of the battery.
By any chance, do you still have the old battery to test and see if the Mac at least works?
To check if the motherboard is good :/

No, unfortunately. When I saw that everything was going well after the battery change, I set it aside to take to the recycling center (where it still sits, by the way, in the damp and cold…)
But if you really think that my "disappearance" problem comes from that, I might as well ask for an exchange where I bought it. Maybe the second one will last longer…
Otherwise, can you give me a price estimate for changing the Topcase? -
You don't need me for this, but here is €229 (available price https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/mac/repair)
Yes, have the battery changed if it's under warranty, and if it lasts you a year, that's good, and if they change it for you every year, it will be great.
If it's not the battery, it's the board it's connected to.
You've done 90% of the troubleshooting with the rest SMC PRAM unplugged and plugged back in, and no improvement.
Last test: unplug for 48 hours and plug it back in, do not use the Mac during this period and do not leave the charger connected, the goal is to reset everything to zero (capacitor, static electricity, and more)
But I don't think it will help much.

(The return to formal address wasn't necessary... even though after all, we're talking about Apple and we shouldn't kid around damn it, there's a presence :)
No kidding, thank you very much for all these tips.
I'm going to try the 48-hour off trick and if that doesn't work, it's battery change again.I'll keep you posted in any case.
Good evening :)

Hello, I'm here to give some news.
Well, I had kind of given up on the matter and hadn’t used the MacBook for over a month. And surprise, when I turned it on the day before yesterday, it recognized the battery again.
So I charged it fully, and it holds up really well. So I deduce that your last solution was the right one.
Hoping this doesn't happen again every other day...
Thanks to you, anyway ;)
