Printer won't turn off

Hello, I have an HP Envy Inspire and I can't turn it off, it doesn't respond when I press the button.. do you have a solution?

Have you tried holding down the Power button for several seconds? On my printer of a different brand, that's the method I have to use.

Hello, yes I tried several times, but nothing happens. Not even a flicker in the light..

And unplugging the power cable and plugging it back in after a few minutes?

It's also done, it’s the only way I’ve found to turn it off, but it’s still the same once restarted.

Hello,

Power outages of this type involve checking the status of the power button, which may be stuck in the ON position.

I suppose it needs to be repaired in that case; I must admit I can't see myself venturing into disassembling the machine...

At least getting an estimate, an official repair service (after-sales service) shouldn't charge you for opening the hood and checking the switch with a voltmeter.

Then, if he needs to disassemble and replace a part, he will give you an estimate that you can accept or decline. When you pick it up, don't hesitate to ask him at least for a printout of a test page.

I will contact customer service; perhaps there is simply a procedure to follow before attempting to disassemble it? I will keep you updated.
