Hello,
I need your help. I recently bought an Epson ET-2711 printer that works very well or rather it used to work very well until now. It keeps turning off for no reason. While I'm using it (in the middle of printing for example) or a few seconds after my last use. I have disabled the automatic sleep settings when disconnected or inactive but nothing works, it keeps doing it...
I wonder if it could be the power cable, but it is perfectly plugged in and nothing is blocking the female socket.
I have already set up this same printer at my parents' house and everything works wonderfully. I searched in the user manual, on the Epson website, and on the internet but I can't find any solutions and it's wasting a lot of my time. I hope that one of you will have an idea (other than taking it for repair because I don't believe they will find the problem even though they could exchange it for me but I need it daily so I prefer to consider other solutions, if they exist, before that).
Best regards.

Hello,
Apart from replacing that famous cable to clear the doubt (maybe test with your parents' cable?), I don't see any other simple solution.
It may be that the transformer integrated into the printer is faulty, or there might be a loose connection somewhere... unless you're a bit handy and have a multimeter to test, it'll have to go back to the after-sales service! Especially if the machine is still under warranty.

Hello
try plugging the 220V socket elsewhere; we may think that the current socket has a loose wire or bad contacts, which can happen with old sockets.
or the power cable is defective
we're not all geniuses, but we're working on it

Hello,
Thank you both for your help. I tried plugging it into other outlets and changing the power cable, but it still doesn't work; the printer turns off by itself again. I will activate the warranty, as I think there are no other solutions.
Thanks anyway.
