The uppercase or lowercase lock icon no longer appears on the screen

Hello,

I have an ACER Aspire E17 laptop. When I pressed the SHIFT key, a lock appeared on the screen, either closed for UPPERCASE or open for lowercase; however, for some time now, this lock no longer appears.

How can I make this lock show up again? I should specify that I'm running Windows 10.
