My email used at rakuten is invalid

Good evening

I open Thunderbird and get the following message: connection failure from the server imap.free.fr with the username FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME, I was no longer receiving emails

to send an email the same error message occurs and the message is not sent

I am with Free, I went to my account and saw next to my email account blocked after some research I unlock my email by clicking on it then choosing to unlock with a page with my new password, then I waited 2 hours as they said and now I have next to my email "check my emails."

I went back to Thunderbird, I deleted the existing account and reset it with the same email that was causing the problem. The result: no more error message, I can receive emails but for the outgoing server I get an error message: connection failure from the server smtp.free.fr with the username FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME. I do some more research and find that I need to enter the full email not just the part before @free.fr in the outgoing server username and indeed it works I can again send emails without error messages.

Now the Thunderbird mailbox works with the sites I visit except for Rakuten which tells me my email is invalid, I did some research but I have not found a solution...

If I cannot find a solution, can I create a new Free email and use it in Rakuten?

    Hello

    There is no reason for a site to refuse an email address unless it is poorly secured

      Yes, my question was silly. It is, of course, your own address that you provided to Rakuten as part of your client area. Sorry, I wasn't in the "sales site" context, but in the "messaging" context.

      Do you receive messages on Free webmail?

    If your email hasn't changed, click "forgot password"

    Sometimes websites use this method for customers to strengthen (change) their password

      Sorry for the delay....

      I clicked on forgotten password and was then able to log in with my email yes!!!!

      Since I have 60 euros in my Rakuten wallet, I placed an order :

      it has been successfully recorded and confirmed by the seller but I have not received any email, I need to go to order tracking to see the status of my order....

        It's all good, I often buy used comics there. I choose the delivery with Mondial Relay (€2.99) when it's available (it's the cheapest shipping for a USED item)... when I don't receive what I ordered, I tell Rakuten and I'm refunded within a week max (it has happened to me to not receive anything, but it's still very rare...).

        When I want to buy something, I check the prices on Rakuten, then on Amazon, then on eBay, and I choose the cheapest one...
