Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to you because I have a problem with my Thomson TV 40fd5416 that won't turn on. When I plug it in, it doesn't respond either with the remote or the power button; the standby light is white and the board reference is a TPD
NT72563 pb771b and no component is defective to the naked eye. If anyone has any ideas, they would be welcome. Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately, I don't want to be presumptuous, but this kind of measurements and various tests requires being in the trade or having solid knowledge, and that doesn't seem to be the case...
Having the schematic, knowing how to read it and understand the operation, having the right measuring devices and knowing how to use them and interpret the measurements, finding the components with the correct references...having the tools and knowing how to use them for the replacement. Here's a summarized overview...
I may have also made a mistake in the remote diagnosis..??
Hello,
Could you unplug the power outlet... Wall-mounted, wait 15 minutes, then plug it back in... It might reset some things,..??
-- The manual might say something about the meaning of this white light...??
-- The appearance of the components is an indication when everything is fried... But often, there's nothing visible, even with significant failures; only measurements with the diagram demonstrate the malfunctions.
-- Otherwise, it's the warranty or the repairman. Especially if there has been lightning.
Hello, thank you for answering my question. The solution of unplugging and plugging back doesn’t change anything; however, I don’t have the component test diagram, and since I am an amateur, there must be components to test that manage standby or power standby, please?
Alright, and thank you for trying to help me. Perhaps it would be better to look for a functional card and replace it.
Thanks again very much.
Yes, it's possible..?? It remains to be seen what you can find on the market and how much it costs...
We must hope that it is cheaper than the TV... and that it is indeed the fault...
Is your remote control infrared or Bluetooth?
Have you found the meaning of that white light..??
Since you opened it; you could have found dead fuses, for example. Did you check those fuses with an ohmmeter..?
Could it have been struck by lightning..?? For example... is it on a power strip with other high-power devices..? Fridge, air conditioner, fans, etc... With peaks in the current...
-- There could even be traces on the printed circuit, melted... it’s not very visible.. The power supply is likely.
Hello, yes I have indeed performed the fuse and diode tests, I also checked all the components and traces with a magnifying glass, unfortunately, I do not see anything abnormal. As for the remote control, I don't know if it is infrared or not, but I tried it with the power button and it's the same.
It is for a TV 40fb5426, a very similar reference... it might be the same one on your TV..??
Lacking an image and very precise references, it is quite difficult to hit the mark... But I would think about changing this set first, around 50 or 60 € just statistically...
There should be brand names, codes or references written on this board..?? it is true that with the right references, it is easier to find the right components...
We also don't know if the inside of your TV is made up of two boards or just one... in short, it's unclear...
Which aims to replace the motherboard... 60€ plus 10€ for shipping. if the first one doesn't work... and it remains possible that the result may not be what you're hoping for... one must be aware of that...
--- It is also possible that the defect lies in a batch of LED backlighting for the screen... LEDs in short circuit... which causes the power supply to go into safety mode; and the white LED. This is another possible scenario, which should be diagnosed before jumping on one lead or another... It should be able to be checked by unplugging the LEDs... and the white indicator light should disappear if that is the case...
So that’s a brief overview of the situation and possible solutions.
