Lost parcel recovered

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask my question, but I'm giving it a try anyway:
More than a month ago, a package I ordered was declared lost, and I have since been refunded. The "problem" is that last week it was finally delivered to me, so I contacted the seller to let him know that it has been found and to offer to return the package to him (I had already purchased the item again and financially I can't afford to refund the same amount). Now the seller responds once a week, and he doesn't seem to understand or particularly care that I return his package, and it's starting to annoy me to keep a large unopened box for weeks waiting for his response. My question is: do I risk anything by keeping the package for myself?
Thank you for reading!

Hello .....
If you did everything you mentioned in your question and the seller is not reacting more than that, ... personally I would send him another email putting him on notice to provide you with a return label (at his expense) for the lost merchandise, which, from what I understand, you would have replaced with a new order from him, I suppose (??) and if you do not get a response within the next 14 days, the package will be destroyed ..... either he "gets moving" if he wants to recover his merchandise, or he doesn't care and prefers to make it a "gift" if it's more expensive for him to take it back or if the return is not of interest for reasons X or Y........
If there is still no response after this deadline, I think you can consider this merchandise as a "gift" and free to do what you want with it......
Make sure to keep all the exchanges and wait another two weeks ... as I wrote above, that's what I would personally do ...
In fact, the "mistake" you made was accepting the delivery of the "lost" merchandise one month later... because by refusing it, it would have been returned to the sender after 14 days in principle...
Cheers
