Hello, I have screws like this on the cooler of my processor, I also have them on my hard drives, the problem is that I would like to buy a screwdriver to remove the screws from both my processor and my hard drive, but I can't seem to find out what type of screws they are. If someone could tell me, I would appreciate it.

    Hello

    screwdriver called "star" or "Torx".

    Flat screwdriver.

    In fact, both are suitable; that's what differentiates these screws from a screw that can only be manipulated by one of these two tools.

    I also see them on the motherboard; maybe the manufacturer chose these screws.

    In retail around my area, these screws are not common, but it's not a problem.

    I haven't seen a tool that uses the entire hollow imprint yet, but it's not a problem.

        Star, 6 points yes, but not cruciform (a cross with 4 points).

    Hello,

    You need keys or a 6-point screwdriver, also called Torx. But if you take a close look, and if the screws are not too tight, you can simply use a flat screwdriver.

      I bought one a few months ago to disassemble my GPS (Torx); they can be found, assorted (several types of bits as above and several sizes per bit) in all hardware stores and it's not expensive.
