Chromecast and wifi+repeater impossible with wifirst

Hello, I am in a student residence located in Lyon, I have set up my TV box (integrated Chromecast), I try to cast something and it's impossible, I can't cast anything. I tried with the Home app and nothing works. So I tried to install a simple wifi repeater. But that's impossible too, I have no network after the configuration. To connect to the network, you need to log in via the link that opens after selecting the network. I would like to know if it is possible to install a wifi repeater or/and to get my Chromecast working.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Hello,

does the TV box in question have an internet browser that allows you to log in to the wifirst portal? If so, you need to go through there.

If not, it is impossible to connect a wifi repeater to a public wifi with a portal, precisely because a browser is needed for authentication, which the repeater does not have.

Hello, yes the TV box has a browser and I managed to connect to the internet, the only problem is that I can't use the built-in Chromecast. Apart from that, everything works.

As for the repeater, is there really no way? Even by tweaking some settings and fiddling a bit?

      No,

it's not a matter of settings, but of connection principle.

For direct casting, look more into direct Wi-Fi, if the TV box supports it.

Okay, thanks for your answers, and no, my TV box doesn't support Wi-Fi Direct.

Thanks anyway. If you have any other suggestions to try, I'm open to it.
