Hello and thank you very much!

By going through the Play Store as per your instructions, I have a keyboard again.

I thank you very much, I am relieved to be back in control.

    Have a good day

    Hello,

Nice tutorial, but... despite having turned off the microphone, I still don't have access to the keyboard. I'm still looking for how to reach it!!

    My tablet is M40pro

Normally, you don't need the keyboard to perform the operation.

I don't know your model, but generally speaking, it's not possible on an Android tablet or smartphone to access the keyboard other than through an application that requires you to enter text.

    Hello,

I don't know which version of Android you are using, but currently there is no longer a System option in the Settings.

I think you want to disable OK Google (Google Voice is something else).

Open a Google window (not Chrome!) and click on your image in the top right corner.

In the menu that appears, click on Settings, then Google Assistant, and finally on Hey Google and Voice Match.

Normally the option should be disabled. This means that to use the voice assistant, you will have to click on the microphone.

You can also revoke Google's permission to use the microphone by following the tutorial provided by brucine.

I did not understand your problem with accessing the keyboard. I will need more explanations.

    Hello,

    thank you for your response.

I rephrase: in Google and the search bar,

I no longer have the option to type text (the keyboard no longer appears).

I only have access to the microphone to make requests.

      Hello,

Does the keyboard work with other apps?
Try testing it with the calendar.

If the keyboard doesn't work, it's a problem with the keyboard app. The best thing to do is to switch keyboards.
Download Google's keyboard Gboard. The Play Store should work with the microphone. It includes English pronounced "French-style": Gé-Baurd.
