Hello,
I have a Doro 8042 mobile and I'm unable to transfer SMS. I read that I should press the received message with a finger so that the "copy message," "forward message," etc. menu appears, but when I press the message, nothing happens. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you for your answers.

Thank you for this response, but I had already looked it up and found nothing regarding transfers; it should have been explained on p.62, but that's not the case, thank you Doro. However, I just found the solution by chance: I need to change the "messages" app. I was using the one with a blue icon with a page and text, it seems, and I was offered another "messages" app whose icon is a green circle with two overlapping pages or something like that, and there I found "forward" and it works. I hope this can be helpful to others. Until now, I had never had to use "forward a message," but since I need it quite a bit right now, I wanted to manage it. Thanks again to all of you. I don't really know how I ended up with this "messages" and I would still like to know.
Good evening,
Is the body of the SMS open so that it can be read?
If the SMS is not open, you will need to open it first so that it is readable, and only then will you be able to transfer it by touching it with your finger...

Hello,
You need to start by opening the message by clicking on it.
Then you can click on the conversation and forward it.

Hello.
It depends on the version of Android; most of the time, you just need to press on the SMS to select it, then tap on the three little dots in the upper right corner and choose forward.

Thank you to the three of you.
I open the message to be able to press on it, but nothing happens. I showed it to experts, especially young people who are more used to it than I am, but no one can do it. When I press on the three small dots at the top right, there is no "forward" option. In any case, when I press on the SMS to be forwarded, no menu appears. I saw in an Orange forum that someone had this problem, but unfortunately, they did not come back to give the answer and since that dates back to 2020, I hope they found the solution. I sent an email to Doro, but they did not respond. Maybe someone else will have the answer. See you later.

Hello,
To respond to Pierr10: Doro told me that the new application I now have and with which I can transfer is indeed the one that Doro is implementing on its phones. With Google's one, I cannot transfer the SMS, why? I haven't found anyone to answer me, not even specialists on the subject.
Yes, but with the Google app it doesn't work while it does with the Doro one. Several clever ones told me that I didn't know how to do it and that they would show me, but unfortunately for them, they didn't succeed. Can we think that it comes from the Doro in question, simplified for elderly people? Why not.
I have another question: how can I find out who owns the SMS app represented by a green circle with 2 white rectangles inside? Thank you for your answers.

I am responding here to your questions:
On a smartphone, you generally have a Messages app provided by Google:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging&hl=fr
You also often have an app provided by the smartphone manufacturer (Doro).
That is probably the one you are describing. I have not seen it in the Play Store.
You can find an indication by going to Settings => Apps.
Click on the name of the app. At the very bottom of what appears, you sometimes have some information.
If the app is in the Play Store, you also have App details in store.
