Free error 38: unable to send SMS Solved/Closed

Hello

During my visit to Free, I couldn't get 3G, so I tried changing some settings on the phone. My 3G issue is resolved but now I can't send SMS anymore...

I had to change the SMSC, can someone please give me the correct one?

I managed to solve this problem today, all you need to do is change the SMS service number which is +330695000695, you should check if this number is correct by dialing *#5005*7672# and then call, and a message will be sent with this number and Free has set it up with the Orange service number which is +330689004000. To change it, you simply need to dial *#5005*7672*0695000695# and then call.

To set it, dial *#5005*7672*0695000695# and call.  Clear the messaging app cache  Set the phone to airplane mode (or offline) for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then turn off airplane mode.

Same problem with my HTC as well. Free and HTC are passing the buck. In the meantime, we can't send SMS... Besides changing operators, does anyone have a solution?

I finally did a factory reset after backing up all my data. The phone, SMS, and internet are working!!! The SIM card reconfigured everything correctly.
I only had to reconfigure the internet (settings, menu, more, connections, connections, in my ISP: add a modem connection, name free and that's it!)
Still need to restore the contacts..... But well, copy-paste, transferring should be fine.

I had the exact same problem until this morning. I called Free and they fixed my issue. In fact, for iPhones, you just need to activate data roaming because, since they are in partnership with Orange, sometimes we use Orange's network lines, and for that, you need to enable data roaming. With Free Subscription 15 Euros, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. To unlock the situation, I have in:
Settings / Phone / My Number and I put a number (even a fake one)

It seems to work more easily.

Hello, I also had a problem sending SMS with Free Mobile even though it was working fine 2 hours earlier => I put it in airplane mode (offline mode) to disable everything, and then I switched it back to normal mode and tried sending the SMS again => and it worked. The phone must have lost the connection to send SMS, and when you force it to search for it, it's good.
