Hello, I tried to plug in my brother's Wii U, but when I plugged the cable into the power strip (3 holes for 3 plugs), sparks came out of the middle hole. Out of fear, I immediately unplugged the Wii U cable, and I thought the power strip might be the cause. However, not long ago I dropped the Wii U, so I wondered if it could also be coming from the Wii U itself. What do you think? Thanks for your responses

Hello
There's a good chance the issue is with the Wii; if there was a problem with the power strip, the "sparking" phenomenon would have appeared on it, and if it were still plugged in without the Wii, it would trip the circuit breakers.

It's very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...

Do you think it could come from the fact that I plugged a charging cable into a USB port of the Wii U (which is not official)? I also plugged in a USB stick.
Also, not long ago the Wii U displayed a message saying that to be able to play with it, the USB stick needed to be formatted (which I haven’t done).
I’ll check later if the connector is damaged or not.
Also, there was a sort of little pop when I plugged it in when the sparks appeared.

However, the phenomenon appeared on the power strip, unless that's what you meant.
In French, what does that mean?
I repeat, if the problem is with the power strip, it would trip the breakers even if nothing is plugged into it... However, it was when plugging in the Wii that the issue appeared... not before you plug it in.
Exactly, do you think it's the cable that needs to be replaced or a connector, or maybe the Wii U (which I wouldn't want)?
