Hello,
I have an LG DVD/Blu-ray player, model BP-240 (2014), and I can perfectly read DVDs that are not Blu-ray, but I can't read Blu-rays. When I insert a disc, it is ejected. I want to specify that these are recent DVDs (2019).
Do you think there is a solution to resolve the issue?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
There are several reasons that can cause a home Blu-Ray player to stop reading Blu-Ray discs (and reject them): dirt on the lens or a malfunction in the optical system.
Blu-Ray players have two optical blocks. They are on the same carriage, which moves during disc reading, but are independent: one allows for the reading of audio CDs and DVD videos, while the other is exclusively for Blu-Rays.
According to the first hypothesis of dirt accumulation, all you need is a cleaning kit. It consists of a disc with sweeping bristles and a cleaning fluid. It's not expensive and can be found at large stores that sell video equipment or online.
The second hypothesis is that the Blu-Ray optical system is malfunctioning. It could be that the lens has come loose (it happens!), or that the laser diode has failed. As a reminder, this does not prevent the playback of CDs and DVDs since CDs/DVDs and Blu-Rays are independent.
Start by getting a cleaning kit.
