Hello,
A few weeks ago, I bought a Panasonic Blu-ray recorder player.
It works very well.
However, I noticed that sometimes it turns on by itself at night and the word "GUIDE" appears on the control screen.
Again last night (I sleep very poorly), it turned on twice, around 3 AM and around 5 AM.
I also heard some kind of beeping and a noise like rapid functioning.
My wife noticed the same thing a few days ago.
And the question arises, either my wife and I are hallucinating, or strange things are happening, or maybe there's an electrical problem.
If anyone has an idea, I would admit that I would be happy to know it.
With my thanks
Best regards
Claude Jean
(As I am likely to be equipped one day with the Linky meter, what will happen then?)
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 61.0

Hello, your question intrigued me; I am just a user.
First, check if there is a power button at the front or back.
Since it is a recorder that can be programmed to start by itself, it must be connected to a device like a TV that may be on standby before deciding it is a guaranteed failure. Disable standby on these devices.
PS: The linky will only count the consumed electricity, nothing more.
