Hello, let me explain my little problem for which I can't find a solution:
I have a Logitech Z533 speaker system with a subwoofer and two speakers.
Since this morning, I've noticed a loss of power, so I increase the volume to compensate. However, this leads to distortion and saturation. The only solution is to turn off the speaker for about ten seconds. Then the sound is normal again for one or two minutes.
I have the same problem with another computer, so I don't think it's a software issue...

Hello.
<<< I don’t know if it’s worth getting it repaired in a shop . . . >>>
Your kit is worth €89.99 on Amazon. However, depending on the region, the hourly rate for audio electronic repair is almost the same price as the kit, not including the cost of additional parts. For example ==>
http://www.blueaudio.fr/tarifs/101-tarifs-et-prestations/153-reparation
In other words, getting this kit repaired would cost more than buying a new one (same product). If in the 80s/90s we could still repair amplifiers ourselves, that’s no longer the case with recent equipment, where often we just replace the whole board.
By the way, check if your audio kit is still under warranty. This is mandatory for 2 years.
See you later . . .

Hello.
Indeed, this is not due to an application or the operating system. It's more of an electronic problem with the kit and most likely the amplification integrated circuit. The symptoms are there.
If you have a home CD/DVD player, connect it to the kit via RCA cable to the IN input. If the same issue occurs, it will confirm the failure of the kit in question. (safe for the player)
