A network cable is not plugged in properly...

Hello everyone. Sorry to bother you. I'm reaching out because for the past two days, I've been having major Wi-Fi issues. My connection is very unstable with varying speeds and ping. Additionally, there are times when my PC no longer detects any networks other than the one I'm connected to, which is not the case since I live in an apartment and usually detect a good dozen networks. As a result, I ran a diagnostic that reports "A network cable is not plugged in correctly or is damaged." I would like to know how I can resolve this issue, please. I have read tips on this subject, but none of my attempts have worked.
For your information, my PC is a desktop (D-Link DWA-582 Wireless AC1200 Dual Band PCI Express antennas) and my internet is provided via the fiber from the Orange Livebox 5.

have you already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Wi-Fi card driver?
In Device Manager, right-click on the Wi-Fi card > uninstall > check the box "delete the driver", confirm and then restart, normally Windows will reinstall the driver on boot, just in case you can pre-download the driver and install it if Windows doesn't do it, go to driverscloud download the software and scan your PC, on the results page download the driver

As for the diagnosis, it may be related to the fact that there is no Ethernet cable plugged in, so that message makes sense (if that's the case).

Then maybe unplugging/replugging the Wi-Fi card.

It's also not impossible that the card is faulty.

Hello. Thank you for your quick response. I have already uninstalled/reinstalled the driver and checked if everything is up to date. I forgot to mention something very important as well and I apologize for that. I experience spontaneous internet/wifi drops when I’m on the 5GHz bandwidth and not on the 2.4GHz. Thank you for your attention.

do you have another device that connects on 5GHz (like a laptop, for example)? Check if there might be a problem with the box


try unplugging/replugging the antennas of the wifi card, apart from the card being defective I don't see anything else.
