Hello,
My Casio SE-100 cash register is no longer printing, the receipt ink is out, it's just printing blank tickets.
Could you please help me?

Hmm, I think your printhead is damaged.

See you!

et ça coûterait combien ? Est-ce que ça vaut le coup ou vaut mieux en racheter une autre ?

Hello,
your cash register has a thermal printer and not an ink printer. You should only use paper for this type of printer. If it no longer prints on this type of paper, it smells bad... maybe your print head is faulty, but make sure that the paper is properly inserted.

If you quickly pass a lighter flame over the surface of your paper, does it blacken?
Only one side is reactive, also check if the roll is not upside down.

It darkens on one side, and the roll is not upside down.

Yesterday it was working perfectly, and it's when I changed the roll that it stopped working.

If the belt has passed correctly in the right place, it could indeed be a hardware failure, but it's rare for it to break down "all of a sudden"....

Yes, that's right, usually it's more gradual; we see the inscriptions less and less, and/or not at all in certain places. But from a distance, it's difficult to diagnose this kind of failure...

See you later!

During printing, bring your hand close to the print head: Be careful not to touch it because it’s hot!!! to check that it heats up properly; otherwise, the print head is out of order and needs to be replaced, or you should consider replacing the printer altogether.

for example of thermal printer for cash register:
https://www.amazon.fr/s?k=imprimante+thermique+pour+caisse+enregistreuse&ref=nb_sb_noss
some are external to the cash register and others can replace the old printer.
Maybe it’s better to prefer those from well-known brands....;)

I think I'm going to buy a cash register directly; it will be easier.
Thank you for your help.
