Samsung YP-U3 USB drive

Hello,
I bought a Samsung YP-U3 PM3. Great for everything music-related, but there's a problem with the USB function:
- In Word, when I try to open a document, it doesn't find the USB drive (which, however, appears in the Explorer under My Computer\Samsung YP-U3\Samsung Flash Media)
- If I want to open a document that is on the USB drive from Explorer, it only opens in Word as read-only even though the document is not read-only at all!

I would prefer not to have to buy a simple USB stick just for storing Word documents.

Thank you for your help
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, I also have a problem with this mp3 yp-u3. I bought it in Australia and I can't add music, nor even move it! It's a hassle since it's new! A little help would be nice!
    Thanks in advance

Required conditions for the YP-U3 key under Windows XP
Windows Media Player version 10 minimum
    the file usbstor.inf version 5.1.2600
If the problem persists, reinstall Media Player 11, reboot your PC, and connect the SAMSUNG player.

    Hello,
I think you're unfortunately not alone in this case!
For my part, it is impossible for me to mount the mp3 player as a simple USB flash drive! In short, it's impossible to get a drive letter assigned.
After calling Samsung customer service, they responded that this is normal now on the yp-u3!!
What an evolution, the yp-u2 allowed that back in 2005.
    Maybe someone has a tip?
    Thanks!

    Hello everyone
    I'm tech-savvy, but I can't get my son's Samsung YPU3 MP3 player to mount
it doesn't seem to be a drive letter issue
the key doesn't appear anywhere; not even in the device manager
    if someone can help me
    thanks to all

It's normal that you can't mount the drive!!!!

Samsung has designed it so well that they removed this function.

It's really too bad, but apparently it doesn't seem to worry them!!

To read or modify the content of the YPU3, you need to use Samsung Media Studio that comes with it! It's very convenient!

    Good luck!
