We do not have any supernatural powers beyond those of the Post Office to know what is happening.
The most likely hypothesis is that Customs thought it was a shipment of prohibited medicinal substances for importation. Given the significant delay, we presume the package has been destroyed. The recipient is not notified of this unless it is a substantial 'seizure'.
