Good evening everyone
I am posting this message because I have a problem with my package.
I ordered a product from a Japanese website that is 100% reliable and does not sell counterfeits.
Here are the details
2020-03-02 07:48
FRANCE, ROISSY PIAC EXPORT, Arrival at inward office of exchange
2020-02-27 16:30
OSAKA, OSAKA INT, 549-8799, Dispatch from outward office of exchange
2020-02-27 16:29
OSAKA, OSAKA INT, 549-8799, Arrival at outward office of exchange
2020-02-26 19:30
OSAKA, OSAKAHIGASHI, 541-8799, Posting/Collection
As you can see, it is still blocked, and of course, no one will call you.
I opted for registered delivery which takes 1 to 2 weeks.
So I would like to know why my package is still stuck over there? How can I contact them? Is it the coronavirus? I have a second package that is exactly the same since Saturday...

To all those waiting for international packages, the watchword is PATIENCE!
Since May 28, 2020, I have been waiting for a package without tracking from the USA, let me tell you about my frustration at not seeing it arrive... I reassured myself with the many comments from people in my situation and today (so 64 days later), what a wonderful surprise I found in my mailbox, my PACKAGE (or rather a thick letter)!
Unfortunately, no information about the package regarding the "arrived in France" stage or "customs clearance." So hang in there everyone who is waiting, and thank you to those who posted!

Hello, I'm waiting for a package coming from Sweden that I ordered on November 10th. I check the package tracking, and nothing is moving; the package has been in transit for days and weeks. Today, it seems that my package is on French soil; I see Roissy Piac. What is that, Roussy Piac?

Same for me, the package has been stuck since 12/10.
Hello, for those still waiting for packages, I received mine today from China marked "arrived in France" on June 23. Don't worry if the tracking doesn't update. Mine is still listed as "arrived in France" even though I have received it. In my opinion, tracking does not update after this stage for some packages, and the waiting times at Roissy are extremely long (almost a month for me). I hope this helps you.
Thank you! The delay isn't great.. but it's reassuring to finally receive it.. basically, shipping takes longer from one point to another within France than from abroad to France.. and especially, the shipment is tracked at every step until it arrives in France where oops! nothing.. the postal service should really ask itself a few comparative questions..
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm waiting for a package from China that was sent on July 8, and I was starting to worry. But now, your June 23 - July 20 timeframe really calms everything down ????. I had suspected that this damn virus could be responsible for delays, but not to that extent...

Hello
The virus doesn't travel via freight.. That's not the reason for the delay..
Customs clearance in Roissy can take time.. Then you have to add the rerouting.. 7 days is still within the timeframe..
Cheers
PS: We hope the package has a 'Declaration of Value'.. This is sometimes the sticking point.

Good evening,
I have a package that has been stuck since March 22 at ROISSY PIAC EXPORT.
No news. It is equipment for a deaf person. Quite urgent.
Is there a way to unblock this shipment?
Thank you.

Hello,
Like everyone else on the forum, I'm waiting for a small package from the US that has been stuck since July 2nd at Roissy.
A well-designed site allows you to get tracking details: http://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/
and it confirms that this sorting center belongs to La Poste http://parcelsapp.com/en/mail-centers/FRROIC
In my case, a projected delivery date is indicated, accounting for two weeks of processing, which is supposed to be today...
It seems that the complaint should be directed to La Poste.
Good luck to everyone!

Hello,
Just like you, I have a package on standby at ROISSY PIAC since December 2, ordered from an online store in Japan via Japan Post (Standard Air Registered).
I understand that it's the holiday season and Covid-19 is disrupting exchanges, but I ordered twice from this same store in Japan during the full lockdown between November 1 and 20, and I received my 2 packages in less than 5 and 6 days, I’m in Paris.
I also confirm that the tracking from La Poste Colissimo leaves much to be desired; I often ordered from Germany between 2016 and 2019 via Deutsche Post/La Poste, and there were always delivery problems and tracking updates. The German merchant even ended up changing their delivery partner in France. La Poste is making efforts, but it is not consistent over time.
For tracking, prefer this: https://www.17track.net/fr
I am therefore waiting like you for the receipt of my package, hoping that if there are customs fees and 20% VAT, the bill won’t be too high ;-).
According to what I have read, for books, toys, non-hazardous products, etc., for imports from a third country below 45 euros per product (goods) there are no customs duties or VAT to pay, and below 150 euros per shipment (package) there are no customs duties, but VAT must be paid.
However, for a blocked package in case of inspection, it is the carriers who pay customs to release the package, and then the recipient must pay the handling fees, customs duties, and VAT according to the value of the cargo. And there, the carriers are not always very clear about this, so be careful of overcharging.
https://www.douane.gouv.fr/fiche/que-devez-vous-payer
There is a small simulator under "How to estimate the amount of customs duties and VAT to pay?"
Good luck to you and patience...

Hello
The fate of packages is very often random..
All 'high-end' carriers handle the customs clearance of their packages themselves through certain employees who have a 'Delegation' from the Customs Authority.
The final amount includes:
1- VAT applied on the total value of goods + shipping + insurance'..
2- Any possible parafiscal tax (Import duties applicable to certain products..).
3- 'Excise Duties' specific to rare particular products..
4- 'Freight forwarder fees' or 'customs presentation fees'.. Here it is debatable since you have not 'contracted' for this Service, which is normally paid globally in the shipping costs settled by the sender..
1, 2, and 3 constitute 'advances' that the Carrier remits to the Tax Authorities afterwards. Then they claim it back from you increased by their 'small commission' from 4- of course..
Normally, the recipient should be allowed to potentially handle the customs clearance themselves or subcontract it to a 'forwarder' of their choice.. However, this is never the case.. Carriers prefer to discreetly take advantage of the situation..
Thresholds for exemptions:
VAT: €22 if sent by a Professional, €45 if sent from individual to individual..
Para-fiscal tax: €150..
It is advised to properly provide the invoice or fill out the CN22 or CN23 form as applicable when sending (Visible/Accessible from the outside..).. Otherwise, in case of doubt, the value could be (over)estimated...
See you later!

Hello,
Package from Japan delivered this morning after a total of 21 days, including 16 days at ROISSY PIAC. The box was a bit damaged, but the products are intact. No customs fees after all! I won't be ordering during the Christmas season again!
Patience, patience, etc!
Thank you Afrikarnak for all your details.

I'm waiting for mine for 54 days today...
I'm not losing hope, but the French service is still proving its worth.

Hello
Don't move at all.. No one is able to locate this package among mountains of thousands and thousands of other packages stuck.. And the staff have other fish to fry..
Reminder: nowadays, the postal services in many countries are experiencing significant delays..
1- Health measures slowing down operations + absenteeism....
2- Holiday season.. Increased traffic..
See you+

Apparently, the tracking issue with LA POSTE persists. Already for the "international tracked letter" I mentioned earlier, from March, there has been no tracking between the international sorting center and its arrival at my place, to the point that I had to call them to inform them of the receipt so they would update it (which hasn’t been done); for a new shipment I’m waiting for, the UPS tracking on the American site indicates that it left their facility on May 24, while the La Poste tracking hasn’t been updated since the 22nd, where it was announced as pending departure from the USA... Since I assume it didn’t travel by train, it must have arrived at the international sorting center but hasn’t been scanned... Will it even arrive in my mailbox before it’s announced as being in France? Unless it gets stolen beforehand... Anyway, I have submitted an online complaint.
The INTERNATIONAL FOLLOW-UP LETTER coming from the USA is first handled by UPS on American territory, which then hands it over to LA POSTE upon arrival in French territory. UPS does have a service in France, but it's an agreement between them for this type of shipment, depending on the weight of the package. We receive an initial UPS tracking number from the sender via email, followed by an update with a LA POSTE tracking number.
Hello, I would like to share my problem with a tracked letter coming from the US. Sent on June 1st and arrived in Roissy on June 30th, since then it hasn't moved and the post office is unable to tell me anything except to contact the sender... Oh yes, they told me it might be stuck due to an international convention issue! Has anyone ever heard of this?
Yes, that's right. Although this is a particular case (it's the only country willing to do this) https://www.lemonde.fr/ameriques/article/2018/10/17/les-etats-unis-annoncent-leur-retrait-de-l-union-postale-universelle_5370944_3222.html
As far as I'm concerned, it's a bottle of dietary supplement weighing less than 20 g, sent by the sender U.S. via INTERNATIONAL TRACKED LETTER on March 10, which has been stuck with them since March 18 after customs clearance, for over a month now. I had to insist a lot to find out that they had it; I was informed that it had cleared customs and then nothing.
And yet, that’s putting it lightly... The problems are recurring with the International Sorting Center in Roissy! Lack of staff leading to sometimes considerable delays, scanning system down... : as far as I'm concerned, the first time a small shipment was held for seven days without justification, the second time that shipment was held for a month and not scanned upon exit, and now another shipment has gone missing since its departure from the USA on May 24...
Hello
I would also like to have the phone number, I have a tracked letter that is stuck in Tremblay en France Roissy since May 28th…!? I hope I can get some information! Thank you in advance.

You are lucky... Better late than never! I don’t have my package, sent from the USA on May 18 as an international tracked letter. It hasn’t even arrived in France; the shipping company claims to be struggling to get a cargo plane due to the situation caused by the pandemic, which has kept them grounded for a long time... And now that things are picking up, there are delays... That doesn't stop them from continuing to rake in orders and sending us offers!
Hello! I'm having the same issue with 3 packages that arrived from Japan since June 10th via Airmail (considered as International Registered Letter)... I'm still relieved to see that I'm not the only one experiencing this...
So it took you more than a month to receive your package as well?
Do you have a scan at the local distribution center or was it delivered to you "as if by magic"?
Thank you for your reply.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem as you. My package has been stuck in tracking at "Your shipment has just arrived in France. - TREMBLAY EN FRANCE ROISSY PIAC" since early June. While searching online, I saw that this happens for counterfeit items, but my purchase is not at all, it's from a very reputable store that doesn't sell copies... And regarding the corona, I also find it hard to believe that it is the cause of this blockage because I ordered during the lockdown and I received my orders just fine...

Hello, the same thing, 1 package arrived from the USA on 21/06 at Roissy and still not delivered.. Note that I had another one that arrived from the USA as well, which after a month of waiting in the air (departed from the US on 13/05) changed its status on 20/06 to arrived in France at Roissy, which was delivered on 24/06... no comment and wait and see..
Hello
I also have a package in Japan. I've been ordering from this site for a year and I haven't had any problems using registered Airmail until today. My package arrived at Roissy on November 23rd and since then, nothing. Did you receive your package and if so, how long did it take?

Hello,
It’s exactly the same for me.
The package was shipped by local post on November 20, and it's been waiting in Roissy since November 26... the post says there is no delivery timeframe due to Covid.
It's highly likely that the package will be stuck in Roissy for another ten days, which is really great... This is a shipment from France to the island of Reunion that usually doesn’t have this many issues...
