Admin password

Question

Hello everyone, due to a password change incident between kids, my daughter's Dell Latitude 3550 PC is now locked. Indeed, as soon as it starts up, the admin password is requested, but neither she nor I have it. How can we unlock it and be able to use the computer again???

Otherwise, you need to perform a full installation from a commercial (purchased) Windows or downloaded from another PC and installed on a new disk (if you want to have a chance of recovering the data from the current disk).

For (or against) the kids, once you regain control of your administrator account, the best thing to do is to lock it with a password known only to you and create a standard account for the dear little ones.

However, be aware that it will no longer be possible for them, due to lacking the rights assigned to the administrator alone, to install software or carry out their previous experiments on passwords. Only the administrator has all these rights.
