Hello,
I am reaching out to find out if you could inform me about the value of a desktop PC that I would like to estimate in order to sell it (and to know if it is possible to sell it, given its age).

This PC is built with the following components:
- Graphics processor: GeForce GTX 560 Ti
- Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor, 3600 MHz, 2 core(s), 4 logical processor(s)
- Motherboard: MSI, 970A-G46 (MS-7693), 2.0
- RAM: 8.00 GB

Is it possible to estimate it without a valid Windows 10 operating system?

Feel free to ask me for more details.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Best regards,
Margaux.

Kookoo Margaux,

Ouch, ouch!!!
Apart from machines belonging to the high-end market segment, all the others lose their value quickly and always too much for our liking.

The components you mentioned are not that young. Take your graphics card for example: it was released in 2011. It’s safe to say that unfortunately, it's already prehistoric.

You can hope to resell a gaming PC for around €1200 if you bought it for €2000... 12 months ago.
However, yours is not at all in this situation.

As for the system on it, a non-official version of Windows, there are two scenarios.
Either you leave it as is, informing the buyer. That’s the least you could do.
Or you format your disk and then the buyer will hesitate: they will have to purchase and install Windows themselves.

So I’m going to give you my point of view, which will certainly not make you dream.

Either you take it apart to recycle the parts. The hard drive can become an external backup drive for your future PC. The fans can make excellent desk fans with a simple USB plug. And more, depending on your creativity.

Or you give it to an association or recycling center specialized in refurbishing old PCs to provide them to underprivileged individuals, schools, or organizations.

I don’t see anything better.
Unless you take the time to post an ad somewhere. To meet potential buyers. To fiercely negotiate the price with them. To hope to sell your machine... for €100!

Whatever you choose, good luck to you.
