Hello,
an amount of 55.98 has been debited from my account by softwaremypc.com Sliema
but I absolutely have no idea what it is, I tried to find out how to cancel because I'm quite afraid that it might be a subscription, but I am always cautious and never sign anything without knowing
I have purchased products online and I have given my bank details, maybe they have been misused
Can someone tell me how to cancel and also how to get a refund
Thank you in advance
Sincerely

Hello,
You need to file a dispute with your bank.

Hello,
softwaremypc.com is, as indicated below, a site based in Malta and somewhat shady.
The site has a procedure to check what one has "purchased" and should be taken with a grain of salt.
https://softwaremypc.com/
Rather than a credit card hack, it is likely a dubious site where you made purchases very recently and which "on the side" offers to download a fake "free" software (actually a trial), and the non-exhaustive list on the site in question can guide you (check in the control panel which new software is installed); you should also be able to trace the culprit by revisiting the sites where you recently made purchases and where you might occasionally find a parasitic clickable link not corresponding to what you actually bought.
This type of payment is generally not iterative; refunds appear to be very random although you can also reasonably attempt to reach out to the software publisher if you know them (see the site as well) but the bank will argue that there was no diversion of the credit card code but that this code was indeed actively entered by the account holder.

Hello,
I know that CCleaner or PC HelpSoft is charged under the name of SoftwareMyPC; it all depends on the bank settings, as noted in one of the emails from these two software programs.
Hello,
Here is a letter that may help you remember the site or sites you visited.
For me, it concerns the purchase of the PC CLEANER software and their support: ***@*** or ***@*** or simply PC HELPSOFT

RECOMMENDED LETTER AR
Subject:
1/ Request for a refund of 99 Euros (credit card charge from 03/24/2022) - online purchase
CB SOFTWAREMYPC.CO INVOICE 240322 (on bank statement)
2/ Request to stop direct debits from my bank account
Dear Sir or Madam,
On 03/24/2022, I visited the PC CLEANER website and intended to purchase a lifetime license for 99 Euros.
Immediately, I realized that the commercial offer lacked clarity, as in addition to this license, a monthly subscription was required to obtain a license number to activate the software.
At first, I was redirected to a phone number to contact.... Here, they take control of your PC and inform you that your PC is infected and that you need to pay a considerable sum to clean your PC. I then asked the representative who took control of my PC how I could simply request the activation of the lifetime license I paid for... I was again asked to contact ZENDESK support, which then informed me of an additional monthly subscription to obtain the license key.
But the icing on the cake is that my PC has been experiencing enormous operational difficulties after this remote access to my PC.
I realize that this is a real scam.
I have attached to this letter the email exchange I had with your malicious subcontractors... And, as luck would have it... No more response to my refund request.
I ask you to take the necessary steps regarding my request for a product refund and possibly the monthly subscription fees that could be added to this dishonest offer.
Furthermore, I have looked online, and many consumers are facing unjustified charges:
“CB SOFTWAREMYPC.CO”
Looking forward to your response
Sincerely
XXXXX

Hello, I was scammed yesterday for two amounts of €29.90. My bank doesn't want to do anything about it, and I was also scammed by the company softwaremypc.com in Sliema.
Hello everyone,
The letter above (Mr. A Zendesk) is a very accurate description of what just happened to me. Therefore, I wonder about the neutrality of the company PC HELPSOFT. If that were the case, how long can they still act? For me, the damage amounts to €149, and the PC CLEANER has of course not been delivered to me...
Have a nice day
