Hello,
I just built my PC with a CM B450 Aorus Elite V2 / Aorus 3200GHz RAM / Ryzen 5 5600G CPU / 550W Aerocool Lux power supply. When I turn on my PC with the power button, the RAM LEDs light up, and when I press the power button, everything turns on but there is no display on the screen to access the BIOS. To turn off the computer, I have to switch off the power supply.
Configuration: iPhone / Safari 15.1

Hello,
Anyone can assemble a PC, but getting it to work requires researching a minimum to make it function.
1) This involves an operating system, which you do not mention; it would be helpful to explain whether you have one and have installed it.
2) Turning off a PC is done from the Windows desktop, once the system is installed, and does not require going through the BIOS, which the vast majority of users do not know, and which is only used to make any necessary adjustments.
3) Simply turning on the PC is not enough, and nothing is said about the hard drive and its potential recognition.
4) You can access the BIOS on a PC without an operational hard drive and thus without an installed system; you just need to activate the function key corresponding to your motherboard’s BIOS or the key combination at startup, as the BIOS does not display by default.
5) Beeping sounds and/or text messages indicating system errors should alert you to issues that need solving before you can achieve proper display.
6) Not to mention possible file corruptions.

I couldn't say for sure about the necessity of an update, but I would avoid diving into that, knowing that you can't do it on a non-operational machine anyway.
It would be better to check the compatibility on the product sheet of the motherboard because in case of an error or incident, the motherboard becomes unusable.
You can install the OS and if everything works, you won't need to perform a BIOS update.
But I'll defer to the hardware specialists.
