Hello
If you want to "Amplify" the sound coming from the Box to the TV, you can insert a Digital/Analog "Converter" on the HDMI because I suppose your old Amplifier only handles analog.
You can find them online under the name "HDMI Audio Extractor"
Cheers
If the answer helped you, a small thank you would be really nice...
Is it resolved? The green button at the top is great!
Let him who has never opened a user manual throw the first mouse ;-)

Hi biloute72100,
No need to buy any box,
Just connect your TV OUT RCA output to a line (or AUX) input on your amplifier with an RCA cable: RCA cable
Or the headphone output of the TV to a line input on the amplifier with a 3.5/RCA jack cable: 3.5/RCA jack cable
Your TV has at least one of these two connections.
If your amplifier is outdated and has DIN inputs, there are also adapters available...

Hello
So why do you say "with an old amp" if it has an optical and HDMI connector!!
This wastes our time when it's just a connection issue.
So try connecting the TV via HDMI to the Bouygues Box (image and sound)
Connect the optical cable between the TV and amp (sound only) and choose "external" output on the TV.
Do you have a reason to connect the amp to the Bouygues Box?
Why multiply the connections, especially since very few devices, even old ones ;-) can handle simultaneous inputs.
Cheers

Hello,
With the complete references (brand and model) of this amplifier and the model of this Panasonic television, we would probably see things more clearly.
I must admit I'm not sure why there is a double connection for sound (via HDMI and optical).
However, for the optical output, it's very likely that you'll need to enable that output in the "Sound" or "Audio" menu of the television... also see if you need to choose the digital audio output format.

HELLO BALADUR,
I was always told to connect an optical cable for sound, but I was also told that an HDMI cable carries both sound and image. Anyway, it's quite complicated.
Amplifier model PIONEER VSX-819H
TV PANASONIC TX50 JX 810 E
2 HDMI and one HDMI ARC
The strange thing is that with the old SONY, I didn't have this sound issue.

The Pioneer amplifier has 3 HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, which is not specified as an HDMI (ARC)
So it should work by connecting
TV box ==> HDMI cable ==> HDMI IN Amplifier
Amplifier HDMI OUT ==> HDMI cable ==> HDMI Input TV
and by selecting on the amplifier the HDMI input used as a source on the amplifier.
Since the HDMI OUT output of the television is not ARC, the optical connection between the television and the amplifier would be used if the television is connected to an antenna and one wants the sound from this television on the amplifier.
But if the antenna is connected to the BboxTV, the optical connection in this case is useless.
Now, the solution provided by Macintosh in message #8 is also viable
Bbox TV ==> HDMI cable ==> HDMI input TV
TV optical output ==> optical cable ==> optical input Amplifier (optical input chosen as source on the amplifier)
Condition to enable the optical output on the television.
See manual page 59
Excerpt:
Another possibility, while keeping the HDMI connection between Bbox TV and the television for the image
For sound, connect the optical output of the Bbox with an optical cable to the optical input of the Pioneer
There too, the chosen optical input as source on the amplifier, and certainly the optical output must be enabled on the BboxTV

Hello Baladur 13 and macintosch
To get back to my connection issues, here are the connections made
Decoder 4K TV from the BOX - small square box with a cable HDMI going to an HDMI connection on the TV
Blu-ray player HDMI to another HDMI on the TV
the optical cable from the TV to the OPTICAL amp
And the sound comes out of the speakers with AUXILIARY displayed
I don't know what you think?
Another problem is that when I put the TV in standby, the 4K TV decoder also goes into standby. Maybe normal. I have disabled sleep mode though
Otherwise, the Pana logo and Android that are displayed for 30 seconds when turning on the TV and before accessing the channels. What do you think? THANK YOU

This is the TV K4 from BOUYGUES TELECOM
what I was explaining to you now about the sound on the speakers, provided that AUX is displayed on the amp.
However, when switching to TUNER, there’s no sound anymore.!.......
Thank you for your patience. It’s not easy because it’s a TV bought from the website son video.com and we have to manage on our own
for your information, the sound works well with the TV set to DOLBY DIGITAL audio output.

On the amplifier, you have a left input selector that gives you the choice between:
Excerpt from the manual on page 40Fr
The AUX display is therefore normal if the optical cable is on optical input 2 (Aux) and the input selector is on Digital
However, when setting to TUNER there is no sound This may be normal if you have not scanned for radio stations and/or if an antenna is not connected to the back of the amplifier..
Excerpt from the manual on page 40Fr
A – Allows you to select the analog inputs.
DIGITAL – Allows you to select the digital input.
The coaxial input 1 is selected for C1 and the optical audio input 1 or 2 is selected for O1 or O2 (O1 optical input CDr/Tape - O2 optical input AUX)
HDMI – Allows you to select an HDMI signal.
You can select H for the BD/DVD, TV/SAT, or DVR/VCR input.
For other inputs, you cannot select HDMI.2
In DIGITAL or HDMI mode, 2 lights up when a Dolby Digital signal is received, and DTS
lights up when a DTS signal is received. When HDMI is selected, the lights A and
DIGITAL are off.
The AUX display is therefore normal if the optical cable is on optical input 2 (Aux) and the input selector is on Digital
However, when setting to TUNER there is no sound This may be normal if you have not scanned for radio stations and/or if an antenna is not connected to the back of the amplifier..
Ok, thanks for all this information. It's strange because despite having connected a wired antenna at the back, the tuner displays the frequencies but there's no sound. I used to have sound before.
Thank you all for this information, but I'm still having these sound issues that don't come through the speakers since I got a 4K Pana TV, and I didn't have these problems with the non-4K Sony. In summary, the connections:
BEFORE with the SONY TV, HDMI cable from the TV to amplifier HDMI OUT DIGITAL OUT IN
HDMI CABLE from the Bouygues 4K decoder to HDMI IN of the amplifier
optical cable from the TV optical TV to amplifier optical IN
AFTER the same connections but no sound from the speakers, only picture
Note that the amplifier is old, non-4K, but has HDMI inputs
I do not want to invest in a 4K amplifier because the issue is actually a sound problem.
How to configure the audio outputs of the TV according to the connections?
