Hello,

As my title indicates, I want to install the Yahoo Mail icon on the desktop, but when I am on my Yahoo page in front of the search bar, I don't see that little purple Yahoo icon.
Best regards.

    Re,
I finally get it quickly, but it takes a long time to explain it to me.

Sorry for the time taken, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your help.

I have the same issue with the GARDENA and HONEYWELL HOME icons.

Do you have any idea how to find their icons, or should I do it like I did for Yahoo?

    Best regards

    Hello.
Drag and drop your Yahoo page onto your desktop via your browser, but you won't have the Yahoo icon. See this page. The best option is to use an email client like Thunderbird.

After having drag and dropped the URL on the desktop, go to Google / Yahoo icon, download the .ico file. Then right-click on the Yahoo icon on the desktop, properties, change icon / browse, choose the icon you downloaded just before and that's it: DIY.

Hello, and thank you for your help.

I can't seem to do "drag and drop"; I’ve never done it, and on top of that, I can't find the drag option.

On my desktop, I have a Yahoo icon in the form of a pure white PDF file, which I click to open my email box.

I saved the Yahoo icon on the desktop.

Then I right-click on this PDF, go to properties, change icon, browse on desktop, but I don’t see the saved icon there.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you.
    Regards.

Hello, drag and drop is a method. You see when you want to move a file, you right-click on it (holding the right click) and drop it where you want, that's drag and drop. You can do the same with a website. You have a URL (www....). You see, there’s a lock in front of the URL, you grab it and drop it on the desktop. There you’ll have created a shortcut of the URL on the desktop (in the form of the web browser you’re using like Chrome for example). Then you right-click etc. like we saw before. If when you go to change the icon you don't see the Yahoo icon, I wonder if the icon in question is indeed a file with the ".ico" extension.

    Hello,

    I tried this,

I opened my Yahoo Mail page,

I right-clicked without releasing on the URL and dragged it to the desktop, but nothing happens, the address doesn't come.

    Best regards.

    Sure, here's the translation:

Ok copy the entire URL (copy paste) then, right click in the empty space (on the desktop) / new / shortcut / paste the URL / give a name to your shortcut and that should be it.

    Hi,

I copied it on my Yahoo page, then I right-clicked on the desktop but "paste" is not accessible as it is grayed out.

No, pasting comes after. I will enumerate: 1 paste the webpage 2 right click in the blank space 3 click on new 4 click on shortcut 4 paste the webpage in the location 5 click on next 6 give a name to the shortcut (e.g. yahoo) 7 click on finish 8 right click on the shortcut 9 properties 10 change icon (I hope you have downloaded the icon in ".ico" and not in png or other formats. If it doesn't work, I give up)

I've finally understood, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

I have the same issue with GARDENA AND HOME (Honeywell).

Do I need to follow the same procedure?

So Gardena and Home, I don't know them, but you can try eventually.

    Hello,

For the Yahoo icon, the solution works but doesn't last over time; I have to do the process every day, the icon gets in place but disappears a few hours later.
    Regards
