Solved

Hello,
I would like to insert a circular "opening" into a slide that would reveal a portion of the slide, but the outside would be completely black. A bit like a "keyhole"... Is this possible?
Thank you

Configuration: Windows / Edge 96.0.1054.62

    Good evening Philippe.

If you accept a square hole instead of a circular one, you can insert a "Frame" shape:

It is also possible with a "Buoy" shape,
    but less easy to size:

Thank you, Raymond: This is exactly what I was looking for. It works very well and is very simple and easy. Thanks again and Happy New Year to everyone.

    Hello,

It is quite possible but requires modifying a field with graphic software like Photo Filter which is free.

Start by inserting your background image, then insert a rectangular shape that only covers a small part of the slide, then insert a round shape on the part of the image that you want to keep visible, right-click on the shape to color it, for example, yellow, and remove the outline. Right-click on the round shape and bring it to the front.
Stretch the rectangular shape to cover the entire slide, which will go under the yellow circle.
Right-click on the rectangular shape, color it black and remove the outline.

Right-click on both shapes to select them and group them.
Import the shapes into the graphic software; if it's Photo Filter, click on Image/Color Transparency/select the yellow.
Save the shape as a PNG.

All that’s left is to insert it into your slide.

Look at the different steps in this example:

    Re,

Complicated, not so much if you follow my explanations. At the beginning, you will fumble, but after that, it should go well and you can save it as PPSX.

      Good evening,

It's not complicated when you know, but it's long to explain in writing.
I've had PhotoFiltre for quite a few years, I use it often, that's what I used to make what I sent him.
If we had the possibility to use TeamViewer, it would be less cumbersome for me,
I could take control of his PC and it would go ten times faster.
      Thank you for your PPSX.

    Hello, Happy New Year,

Yes, it should be possible with PowerPoint Office 2019.
You have several options for opening sequences, it's up to you to find the one that suits you.

    Have a nice day.

Hello Bernard4241, and thank you for replying to me. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I won't understand the answer... What is a "sequence opening," and how can it achieve what I want? Thank you for being a bit more precise, if possible...

    Good evening,

The solution is complex to explain, there are too many things to do, but here is the result I managed to achieve:
Starting from the large photo you sent me:
