Hello,
On my brand new PC, I wanted to remove the Hello PIN so that I can start it up without any password prompt, but it didn't work, and after some attempts to fix it, I'm now at the startup with both options available. I have the same user offered twice (myself), one for the Hello PIN and another with the Password
Who can help me???
Thanks
Windows, fortunately, I have both, but I would like to remove both options.
Configuration: Windows / Edge 96.0.1054.43

No, it doesn't work, it's by going through that that I messed things up, I only have one user account on my PC, but at startup, I get the Hello PIN request if I choose one of the accounts at the bottom left of the screen, and the Windows password if I select the other one. If I disable Windows Hello, the password request still remains.

Did you create the PIN code?
It's mandatory with W11.
Just like on Windows 10 ==► Windows Hello forces the creation of a PIN code
Same method here that I suggested to you.
Another method ==► autologon
See you later

For the 2 identical accounts.
With netplwiz.
Windows + R and type --►netplwiz.
Keep the one where you are Administrator (maybe both are).
The small checkbox to require a password on login
Set it to the opposite setting and, if necessary, enter your login information (Microsoft ID + password for your Microsoft account).
Restart (not shut down) your PC.
Then go back to netplwiz and set this option back to its original setting.
This should remove the duplicate account.
Another solution, I'm not suggesting you delete the duplicate account; since the PC is new, you can reset it as you have the warranty.

Thank you,
When I go to Netplwiz or control userpasswords2, I only have one account and there's no box at the top for
"Users must enter a username and password"
and I can't remove the account that is there, I am both an administrator and a user at the same time!!!
What do you mean by "set it to the opposite setting?

-►define it on the opposite parameter
It was about unchecking the box and confirming with your username and password.
But we cannot see this box in the screenshot.
==► Netpliwz box gone «Users must enter a username and password to use this computer»
Local account
Switch to a local account, hoping there is no request for a PIN code and password.
Settings -►Accounts -►Your info
Then click on the link « Sign in instead with a local account ».
After a few warning screens, the Microsoft account will be unlinked from your PC.
Duplicate user
==► Duplicate user on the Windows password page

Sorry Pistouri, I'm a bit lost in the thread of responses, but I've tried pretty much everything you've told me.
Just to clarify, my PC is working perfectly, I only have this issue with the double connection prompts at startup, and both options work the same once connected.
And I really want to completely remove this Hello password or PIN request.
Thank you for your help.- No other solutions than the one proposed by the CCM practical sheet for removing the password and PIN code.
I don't know if you have added the box you are missing in Netpliwz.
==► Netpliwz box disappeared "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer"
Because you need that box to carry out the procedure to remove the password.

Re-Hello Pistouri,
I managed to eliminate the request for the PIN code and no longer see the suggestion to do it myself twice at the bottom of the home screen. The trick is to set "DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion" back to 0 and then turn off the computer instead of restarting it.
Now I just need to find out how to remove the PIN code request from Hello!!!- DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion procedure from the practical guide CCM == Grayed case: Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.
When logging in, the sign-in options appear next to the PIN and below, for selection between PIN and password.
After logging in, go back to Settings --► Accounts --► Sign-in options
You can remove the PIN and the "Password" option now appears in the settings.
Repeat the procedures of the practical guide in order if you have trouble.
1-►Remove the PIN Windows 11
And
2-►Remove the password Windows 11
See you later!
