VMware: unable to install VMware Tools on Windows 7

Hello everyone,
I'm on Windows 10, and I want to create a Windows 7 VM with VMware.
First thing, during the installation, I don't see all the windows with the options for language, keyboard, region, whether to enable the firewall or not, etc., but the installation still completes without errors. On a physical PC, I do see all the options presented to me, and I'm using the same ISO file nonetheless.
Second thing, after installing Windows 7, when I try to install VMware Tools on my Windows 7 machine, through the menu, there are drivers that fail to install, and the installation fails every time.
To be sure, I created another VM on another PC, and I have exactly the same issues. How come the installation of a Windows 7 VM isn't working correctly, and why is it impossible to install VMware tools?
I have the latest update of VMware, and Windows 10 is also up to date.
Are you experiencing the same thing? Thank you.

Hello,

If I remember correctly, to get the desired Windows 7 installation settings, you need to install VMWare not using "easy install" but via a custom installation.

Virtualizing Windows 7 causes a problem under VMWare Workstation Player 16.

Either you use 15.5, or you have to go through a workaround:
