Hello,
I have some old VHS tapes, memories of weddings, baptisms, etc., and I would like to digitize them.
I could transfer them with a VCR to the PC, but when I see the prices of VCRs, it bothers me to spend that amount just to transfer a dozen VHS tapes, and then it won’t be of any use to me anymore.
At worst, I could buy one, but do you have another way to do it?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
Anyway, you will need a capture card, but there is currently a big problem:
A recent update of Windows 10 has disabled all the capture boxes we know, judging by the desperate messages from users on this forum.
To our knowledge (I speak on behalf of the usual contributors), no driver has been offered by either the brands or Microsoft to restore functionality.
So, I recommend you go through a competent and affordable site, it's a friend who used to be a technician and producer at Sud Radio:

Rest assured, he is a very trustworthy, careful, meticulous, and professional person (for your information, he was responsible for the production of "Les Chevaliers du Fiel" at Sud Radio)

Hello,
I am currently transferring my VHS tapes to DVD using "august 100," a software I bought on Amazon.
It's very user-friendly but requires basic computer knowledge.
At that time, I paid around 25 euros for it.
Now all my friends are entrusting their VHS tapes to me.
I don't know if Amazon still sells it under the section for transforming your VHS into DVD.
I hope this is helpful.
Best regards
I see you're a moderator, so I trust you.
I've taken a look, but sending my tapes without certainty that they'll come back makes me nervous. I don't want to lose those memories.
