playing VHS tape on digital TV Solved

Question

Hello,

I have an excellent SILVERCREST LCD TV to which I connected a classic SHARP VHS VCR using a 21-pin SCART connector.
To watch a VHS tape, I switch the TV output to SCART as instructed, but I can't get any picture. I only have sound (in very good quality). The TV screen only shows a settings image (time, date, etc.).

Thank you in advance for any guidance that can help me resolve this little issue.

Hello  Some recent TVs require their users to switch to analog D/A mode or another (on the remote) to use the SCART connector; this is the case with LG, why not other brands? Hi

hello - check the peritel connection - make sure you haven't accidentally entered a TV settings function

Could it simply be the VCR menu that asks to set the date and time because it has been unplugged from the power? (In general, it lasts 1 or 2 minutes at most!!)
