Wetransfer is not detecting my files when I want to send.

Hello, I am reaching out to you because yesterday I encountered a lot of difficulties and, in fact, I was unable to transfer a Word file via WeTransfer as it could not find any files in my documents; none appeared. Moreover, when I typed the name of the file at the bottom in the search bar to force the search, the file was suggested. Once selected, I clicked on transfer, and then it was impossible: "the file name is not valid," WeTransfer displayed. Would you be so kind as to help me understand? I was using the free version of WeTransfer and my PC is running Windows 10. Thank you. How is it that the files disappear when I want to select them?

Try renaming the file with non-accented characters and removing the "signs" characters (&-_, etc)
Optionally zip the file.

Thank you for your responses. Yes, but I received the same file via WeTransfer with the same title, that's what's confusing. I just made some corrections to it and I'm trying to resend it and nothing happens, even though it's clearly in my documents. When I go through WeTransfer to resend it, it's no longer there, and then I type the title in the search bar, and then the text is found, and I confirm the selection to send it through the WeTransfer page and then the title is invalid! Now that I think about it, I’m making corrections to it in Word and this software was installed for me for free by my stepson with a USB key. Maybe it's this version of Word that I don't have a license for that is causing all this. I bought a somewhat cheap version of Word online which turned out to be an incomplete version in its options, so my stepson installed it with that USB key. There are packages with Word, PowerPoint... for 40€ online, are they worth it? Because I would like to remove this "gift" version of Word for a more legal one to see if the problem comes from there.

No, the editing software has nothing to do with it....
However, make sure that the file extension is valid..
If it's a Word file, its extension should be "DOC or DOCX" Wetransfer will reject a file that does not have an extension.

Thank you very much for your answers. I don't remember these extensions, but for PDFs at the end, how can we convert them to docs? When we save them? Like for PDFs?

I just checked in the Word options for saving; it was set to "OpenDocument Text (*.odt)," so that could be the issue. I switched it to "Word Document (*.docx)," and additionally, "save extracted files" was checked for "Office document cache." I changed that to "in the location of the temporary files extracted from the server."

Personally, I avoid opening Word files received by email or sending them (unless I know the person, and even then!)
It's a format that easily facilitates the transfer of viruses...
For sending images, JPG or TIF with possibly PDF is a bit more secure.

Hello,
Once logged into your account, click on "upload your files," a dialog box from the PC explorer will appear, choose the file you want to transfer and off you go!

Hello yes thank you The dialog box opens and the files are not there impossible to find them without typing the title at the bottom and once selected we transfer tells me that the title is not valid and refuses to send the file!
