Hello, I was calmly browsing the web when I received a message while visiting a site; an ad popped up and the following message appeared:
"A virus has been detected on your iPhone 4* on the last site you visited, a complete system scan is now necessary to find and remove harmful files or apps on your device."
"Scan now"
Link to the site in question:
http://android.com--1.mobi/kng_m3/fr/prog2/index67.php?c=594&l=3465&subid=2351196947
First of all, I do not own an iPhone 4, but an iPhone 5s. This message seems suspicious; I do not know if I should take it seriously and perform the scan; I would need your help.
Best regards, Infolock

Well, according to the comments, this kind of scam is widespread, so I conclude that these messages are "false detections" aimed at downloading a malicious application on your phone without your knowledge if you click "Ok."
Hi, my sister received a similar message on her iPad, panicking she called me, actually it’s an ad for buying antivirus software which is obviously useless on an iPad.
It is almost impossible to catch a virus on the iPhone, except possibly if it is jailbroken. So I don’t recommend doing the analysis. Let’s see what others say, but for my part, I won’t do it

I'm only twelve years old and it's shown me twice on my iPhone "your iPhone 4s is infected with an adult sites virus" even though I don't visit that kind of stuff, I was just watching my movie lol usa and I don't have an iPhone 4s, I have the 6, so is it true or is it just an ad?
Thank you for replying!!

Hello, I experienced the same thing. Out of fear, I pressed OK, and then it said that my iPhone 4s (even though I have a 5c) had 7 viruses and that if I didn't fix it, it would break down because it was very infected. Your messages reassured me a bit, but what I don't understand is that the messages telling us we have viruses come from our iPhone; it displays them itself. After downloading several antivirus programs, everything seems fine, but I'm still not reassured at all...
Hello, I had the same issue with my iPhone 5c. The problem now is mainly that I have a proxy enabled (I have no idea what that is..) so I can no longer watch my movies on Canalplay.. It says "proxy enabled (anti-virus etc..)" How do I manage that? Do I need to reset my phone? How do I do it..? Thanks for your answers.. I'm at a dead end here..
Hello, just in case, I found a free antivirus for iPad/iPhone etc.
You can download it directly from the app store.
It's called: Lookout.

A streaming site, when I received a message saying: Your iPhone is infected with a virus!
Virus detected: Mabir.A!-Info.sis
You need to remove this virus immediately, otherwise your iPhone will shut down and all data will be lost.
Please download the recommended app to clean your phone right now!

After seeing this page show up, I got scared thinking that my iPhone 5s was hacked. So I closed the page without clicking on the [LINK]. But I'm still worried about the reliability of my iPhone and especially I really don’t want to lose all my data... If anyone has a solution or several!!! I'm interested. Thank you.

Hey, don't worry it's just an ad to invite you to download an app that you probably won't need. If your iPhone has the original Apple iOS and is not jailbroken, you have nothing to fear. However, it's always important to have a backup of your data in case of a malfunction or loss of your iPhone. iTunes on your computer automatically backs up your device every time you connect it; you can also enable the backup of your iPhone in the iPhone settings, but for free, you only get 5GB; beyond that, it’s paid as an annual subscription.
Hello,
A week ago, I received a message saying that my iPhone 4s was infected. I quickly installed an antivirus and everything went well for a week. Today, while browsing the internet, I kept getting these kinds of "ads" that took me directly to my app store to download it. (Which I did not do.)
I am very worried, I'm afraid I have a virus - even though your responses have somewhat calmed my nerves -
Can you help me? Thank you very much! Have a good day or good evening.

I had the same problem as you, except that he didn't say iPhone 4 but phone or something like that, and the site is slightly different, and I'm worried like you. I clicked ok and then I closed the page.
Hello, it’s simply a scam because as you may have noticed, there are more and more scams like this on the internet. For example, the other day I came across a page that told me to update an app that I don’t even have on my iPhone 5, and it was probably a scam because updates are always done via the App Store. So don’t click on it, it’s a scam. I hope this helps you. Best regards, zoula6
It happened to me too, except that it said (iPhone 4s) while I have the iPhone 5c; it's suspicious, I don't believe this message.
Hello, personally I don't think there's any risk since before receiving the message I had installed Lookout and it didn't detect anything.
Personally, I had the same problem.
A scam, yes!
I downloaded Lookout and it didn't find anything.

I am using an iPhone 5c, I have never received an alert, yet recently my phone is bugging a lot!!!
- frequent restarts
- keyboard that freezes
- keyboard that disappears (I have to type blindly!)
- apps that won't open
- disappearance of all icons in the menu
- camera screen that freezes in pink
So I have 3 questions:
1- Am I infected by a virus?
2- If I perform a reset, will it fix the issues?
3- If I connect my iPhone to my computer (tethering, personal OneDrive, photo transfer...), is there a risk to my computer?

Hello
I've had an iPhone 5S until today with no issues
I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I received an email today confirming a purchase of €260 even though I didn't order anything... And I made the mistake of replying to that email...
Basically, I'm unable to open certain files now... what can I do?

I have a solution to see if your phone is really infected or not because I experienced the same problem as you. I wanted to watch a movie and it displayed that I had a virus, so I went to the Play Store and downloaded the 360 Security app. Not only does it clean your phone, but it also detects if there is a virus on the phone, secures all the apps you download, and helps you eradicate the virus.
I'm experiencing the same thing, but I think it's a false message. However, I receive it often and sometimes I have doubts. Does anyone have an explanation?
