Memory full on Galaxy S7

Hello,
My Galaxy S7 shows that the memory is full... I have 31.85 GB used out of 32 GB... really surprising when I look at the details.
How can I resolve this? I've searched online and can't find the solution.
If, as usual, a kind soul skilled in this area would be so kind as to help me out, I would appreciate it.
Best regards.
Marie

First of all, try to clear the cache of each application, then go to Digital Wellbeing and delete the unnecessary files taking up space. If you have a memory card with enough space, move the largest applications by going to: applications; storage; internal storage. Then instead of internal storage, select external storage. The application will then be transferred from your phone to the memory card. I want to emphasize that your applications will work perfectly. Nothing will be impacted by this move. Otherwise, you will have to delete the largest applications. Also, be sure to check what type of storage space is being used by the gallery. It’s better to use your memory card than your internal storage to take photos and videos. If you have other problems, check in Files (application manager with the file logo). You may find large files to move or delete. I hope this advice has helped you, Marie.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. My Galaxy S7 doesn't have "digital well-being." I had looked online before asking the question on Commentçamarche. I've also tried many things; I deleted files (which deleted some photos, but nothing serious), what I don't understand is that all this effort only freed up 3GB of memory, while the phone has 32GB. Does that seem normal to you? I had removed the SD card to make sure I wouldn't erase anything on it. I'm 73 years old and while I'm relatively tech-savvy, sometimes I struggle... I deleted apps, and I have very few left; it's quite incomprehensible. I don't have any videos. In any case, I thank you again for your response. Have a great day. Best regards. Marie

      Hello.

Moreover, don't forget that some applications like Whatsapp automatically save received files on the phone, and they may not necessarily be stored in the "Images" directories.
This can quickly take up space.

      Additionally, here’s a little help:

I hope you can find the problem. I assure you, it’s not your fault. Sometimes the storage space bugs out. I myself have very little space, even though I’ve moved all my data to the memory card. The problem may come from system applications. In fact, they cannot be moved or deleted. The data becomes larger and larger over time. Additionally, part of the internal storage space is used by the system: updates, default apps, programs… You might be able to delete some unnecessary files. Emails can take up space when you receive a lot; deleting the less important ones (ads, scams, links, offers…) allows you to free up some space. Otherwise, you will need to save the space you have left by using your memory card as much as possible (if possible). Have a nice day.
    Best regards
