Hello,

I have a problem with my hard drive; I can't access its contents even though my computer detects it...

I ran WD Drive Utilities to analyze the problem, and it says that my hard drive has 0 bytes even though it contains all the photos from the last 10 years.

I did some research on the topic, and I feel like everything suggests that I may never regain access to its contents...

I'm still trying my luck by making this post, hoping to get a response that will allow me to recover all my files.

connect the disk
test the disk with CrystaldiskInfo
it's software that allows the user to know the status of their hard drive.
The status should be blue; otherwise, it's not a good sign.
provide the result (color and status) or post a screenshot

My two hard drives are blue, status "good 84%"
However, my external hard drive (the one from which I want to recover data) is not visible...

Not in the workspace...

But when I plug it in, the recognition sound activates and my hard drive is still recognized by the computer at the bottom right of the taskbar (see first photos)
It's called "My passport Ultra"

  try to recover your data with " Test disk 7.2 "
  TestDisk 7.2
  once the download is complete, unzip the folder
  Then, double-click on the " testdisk_win.exe " file to launch the disk partition recovery utility.
  1- Select " Create " and press the Enter key
  2- Select the disk with the partition to recover and press the Enter key
  3- Select the type of partition table, by default the value is usually correct, as TestDisk performs auto-detection, then press the Enter key
  4- Select " Analyse " and press the Enter key
  5- Leave on " Quick Search " and press the Enter key
  6- the deleted partition is highlighted in green, press the Enter key
  7- select " Write " to rewrite the disk partition onto the disk and thus recover it. and press the Enter key
  8- You will then be asked to confirm with " Yes " by entering the letter Y on the keyboard and hit Enter.
  Restart the PC to apply the changes
  PS: the " Q " key allows you to go back
