Remove me on Snap but how to get added back?

Hello, I have a friend who removed me from Snap but I didn't remove him. So if he wants to add me back, will I get a friend request notification? He is no longer in my friends list but his username is still shown in blue. So if he wants to add me back, will I have the same person twice???

    Hello there

    If a friend removes you on Snap, they remove you from their account, basically as long as you don’t remove them, you will still see them appear in your friends list but you can no longer send them messages. If they add you back as a friend, you will just get a notification but no need to accept since on your side you are already friends with them.

    But no duplicates

      Thank you for your quick and thorough response. One last clarification please.... So if I understand correctly, I will receive a notification to add friends with their username? Because I don’t want to delete them as we have saved some of our conversations and if I delete them, I will lose everything!
      Oh, and one last thing please + 1 other in one of my public stories, how can I know who it is?

      If someone removed me on Snapchat first, and I then removed them and added them back. Will they see the notification?
