Hello
after a mishap (removing the USB key during a recording), I no longer have access to my USB key (0 bytes, unable to format, etc.)
I have already tried many things, but nothing works!

Does the USB key appear in Disk Management? (right-click on the Windows flag at the bottom left)

- Execute (Windows + R)
- Type cmd then press enter
- In the window that opens, type "diskpart"
- list disk
- select disk x (x being the number of the external hard drive)
- clean
- create partition primary
- format fs=fat32 quick
- active
- assign
- exit to quit diskpart

exit to quit command prompt

try this command prompt, but I think the USB key is faulty.

Hi,

With ChipGenius as already mentioned, you just need to right-click in the window and Paste (HERE) so we can see the log.

After that, we may be able to find a tool to repair it.

It should be between 8 and 16GB in reality.

Sometimes (rarely) it detects a memory chip that is double, but we can only get half of that.

But often when it shows 16GB, we get 16GB.

It might be a FAKE 64GB that actually has 16GB

You risk losing your data with this firmware

Download the latest version of FirstChip MPtool here (2020-11-18)

Extract and start FCMPTools.exe

You can see if it detects it

You can go to Settings to check if everything is normal (may not be necessary)

Exit settings, then there should be a Start button to flash the firmware.

I downloaded and ran FCMTTool.exe and tried it on a USB drive, I get a message that I cannot open the tool!

Which version of ChipGenius did you take? An old one?

Try the latest one with a password
