Windows key constantly on

Hello,

Here's my problem: since yesterday, my Windows key keeps being constantly active (not physically pressed), making it impossible for me to type and, consequently, impossible to enter my password to unlock my PC.
I don't know the exact model of my PC, but it's a laptop that looks like the ASUS ROG GL552.

If anyone has any ideas to help me, I’m all ears.
Thank you.

    Hello

if you have some knowledge in computing and if your computer is out of warranty, then:

. Try unplugging your keyboard and plugging it back in.

. If the issue persists, buy another keyboard and replace it:

    Hello

What is happening on the screen?

Is the Windows key working properly, is it lower than the others?

I don't know, it's weird. Sometimes I can't help it, it stays activated even if I press the Windows key, it stays activated before and after I release the button; sometimes it is deactivated and even when I press the Windows key it remains deactivated, and sometimes my Windows key works normally again. There was also a time when the Windows key was deactivated, but when I pressed any key on the keyboard, it activated at the same time. (I was looking at the virtual keyboard to see if it was active). By the way, I was able to unlock my computer at a time when the key was deactivated.

      Sorry, I write a lot.

    Okay, thank you very much,

I might try unplugging and replugging the keyboard, but I don't think it will help much. It seems I saw someone trying that on a forum and it didn't work.

I might attempt the second method, but since keyboards for my model (GL502VS upon rechecking) cost around €100, it seems a bit expensive. Especially since others have also had my problem, so nothing assures me that the problem won't come back with another keyboard.

Otherwise, thank you for your reply, and I apologize for my late response. Also, it works almost perfectly when I connect an external keyboard (it bugs occasionally but is usable), but it’s not very practical for a laptop.

Best wishes to you and thank you again.
