How to remove ConnectWise Control

Hello,

Good evening, I just had a problem with my HP computer. I opened a page on the internet "YouTube to mp3 converter" to download music and then a Windows message told me to call the number 09 74 32 27 54 within 5 minutes, the Windows technical service. It told me to perform some actions on the computer so that it could take control using "connectwisecontrol." Then it asked me to pay 150 euros for a package for 3 years in order to be protected. My bank asked me for authentication to approve the payment, and when I confirmed, it said it didn't work. I tried again for 100 euros two times, and it still didn't work. They asked me for an appointment at the beginning of the month to try again. Now they're cleaning my computer. I'm not supposed to touch anything, but I'm not comfortable with paying like that over the phone. Is this a scam? I want to clarify that nothing has been deducted from my account. Thank you

    It is a common attempt at a fake support scam, usually in this case the computer is not infected.

    Avoid these lousy "free" online conversion sites that are just a means of spreading this kind of scam.

    It's a well-known scam, read carefully THIS PAGE everything is explained there.

    What you encountered is simply a web page that gives you a phone number of a fake support service, so it's more of a scam than a real infection. If you call the number provided and do what the scammer on the other end asks, you will be scammed out of several hundred euros, and on top of that, they will install some useless and fake software that they charge an arm and a leg for. What they care about is your money, not what’s on your PC.

    To see if there are any remnants on the PC:

    Download FRST once downloaded save it to the desktop then open it you will have this:

    Click on Analyze at the end of the analysis you will have two text files on the desktop FRST and Addition, .
    Make sure to wait for the messages saying that the analysis is complete    , then send these reports to https://www.cjoint.com/ see this tutorial then provide the two links generated by Cjoint in your next message.
