Hello.
I've been finding my connection on my PC rather slow for a while.
I only looked into it today and it seems (according to the speed test) that I'm limited to 100Mbps instead of 1000.
My router is connected to a switch which is in turn connected to my PC. For the port my PC is plugged into, the 100Mbps light is on, while on the other ports the 1000Mbps light is on.
Knowing that initially, in the same configuration, my PC was receiving 1000Mbps. I unplugged the other devices to leave only my PC but it hasn't made any difference...
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,
First, do you have an ADSL or Fiber internet subscription?
The switch light is a better indicator than a speed test ;-) So it's either the cable or your PC's network card. You should check the properties of your connection like:
and in the properties of the card, make sure the speed selection is set to Automatic.
You should also provide the model of your card to check that it is indeed gigabit.

I have a fiber subscription.
It seems strange to me that the cable could be damaged...
I can't find the speed section in the properties of the card. Where can I find it?
I know the card is a gigabit one. Additionally, it was working at the beginning, so it's either the cable or settings that I have modified.
Thank you.
Edit: I didn't even notice that their connection was already at Gigabit!
