Hello everyone
For several months now, I've been struggling with a Windows update that I can't install or remove
Every time I shut down the computer, the hassle starts all over again and I'm forced to abruptly power it off by cutting the electricity.
If any reader has an idea on how to get rid of this update, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance and best regards

    Hi,

Do you have an ISO/CD/USB key for Windows 7?

I don't know if you're trying to do the Windows 10 upgrade directly, if it's going to crash.

    https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10

Back up (somewhere other than C:) your OEM activation with Activation backup and restore,

For Windows 7, take the version "ABR Beta With Windows 7 Support" (ABRbeta.exe)

    http://directedge.us/content/abr-activation-backup-and-restore

It would be best to find a Windows 7 ISO to reinstall and reactivate with ABR before upgrading to Windows 10

With the Windows ISO file, you can create your USB stick with Rufus

Boot from it using the Boot Menu of the PC

    The key to press:

    https://www.malekal.com/liste-touches-acces-bios-boot-menu-constructeur/

    Choose "Custom installation" (Not upgrade)

    Hello.

    <<< with a Windows update >>>

And no way to hide it with a right-click?

    See you later . . .

Thank you very much for all this information.
I will stay like this because I really don't want to switch to W 10
    W7 suits me perfectly.
I also have a Dell laptop with W 10 that I'm having a hard time getting used to
    Best regards

Win10 configured like mine is like Win7, but more compatible, and up to date, and also with updated ISOs twice a year.
