Old DTI FT wiring

Hello
I am in a very old house and I wanted to tinker with my FT connection at the DTI (which is also very old).
Until now my freebox was working, but for the past few weeks, the TV signal has been dropping very often. I wanted to better understand this issue in order to try to solve it.
But since then, I have disconnected all the wires and did not pay attention to the initial configuration, and now it's impossible to get a signal and I have no internet. I am posting a photo of the wire connections at the pseudo DTI.
Could someone please tell me how to reconnect everything so that it works?
In parallel, I have opened an incident ticket with Free. Hoping that a FT technician will intervene quickly (to possibly change the DTI).
Thank you in advance for your suggestions and help.

    Hello,

In principle, the telephone line should be in white/gray at the top left. To check, the best would be to remove all the wires, connect these 2 white/gray wires to 1/3 only, and connect the box to the DTI to see if it synchronizes properly.

If it works, you should try to find which of the cables corresponds to the box's location because apparently you have 7 telephone sockets in the house, and all these connections hinder reception. Connecting just one is preferable.

So either it's marked, or you test the 7 cables one by one with the box connected to its original socket. You connect the white/gray of a starting cable to 1/3 with the incoming telephone cable. Or better, if the DTI socket works well in 2/4 like the right cable. You should indeed try that one first by removing all those on the left.

You should also check that the wall socket of the box is properly connected with white/gray at 1/3.

      Hello
      Thank you for your reply.
I have already tried that more or less without result. But I will retest.
But I also have white and gray on the right?
Initially, I had white in 1 and gray in 3 but it seemed to me that it should be the other way around. Does it matter?
      Thank you.

white/gray gray/white no importance but it's better to stay consistent across all the setups in 1/3

here in 1/3 you mixed the colors :-/

on the right I think it's a cable going to a phone socket, maybe the original installation with a single socket, the cables at the bottom left must have been added later?

first test the box on the DTI with only the white/gray incoming cable at the top left of the DTI

      Hi,
no, it doesn't matter, you can switch gray and white, it won't make any difference; however, it is indeed important to connect only one wall socket for the ADSL.
      P.S.,
it's really very old: you don't have a DTI, just a wall junction box (the T socket) and a surge protection box with fuses above.
Also, FT has not existed for almost 8 years, it's been Orange since then.

      Hi,

Yes, it's super important to connect only one socket to the line (there should be 7 there)!

Last week I disconnected my second socket. In my apartment, there was no visible DTI; I never looked further, as long as it works, we leave it alone. For the installation of the Linky electric meter, I cleaned and opened the covers of the technical shaft. My phone line comes into a 12-terminal box. I took advantage of it being open to unplug the second socket and remove the capacitor. Awesome, I went (VDSL) from 22.7 mbps / 1.4 mbps to 32.2 mbps / 4 mbps.

The house dates back to 1790!
Connecting gray and white on the left. No signal!
