Hello,
My JBL Party Box 100 has too much bass even with the bass mode turned off. Due to the rear passive radiator, it is impossible to use it as a home speaker; my neighbors respond within the hour even at low volume. Is there a way to adjust the bass with a sound card or an app?

Configuration: Android / Chrome 90.0.4430.210

Hi,

What do you connect to this speaker to play music?

My turntable or my phone, my TV, a bit of everything.

My headphones are not great even when adjusting the volume because it cuts out the bass and muffles a bit. Otherwise, phone calls, etc., even the PS4.

Hi,
On some devices you have the option to increase or decrease the presence of bass, treble, etc.
This is very common on TVs, in the form of an option to enable/disable, or even adjustment sliders.

On PC, the Realtek chipset software that is present in many computers includes a graphic equalizer, which allows you to lower the bass.
There is also often a graphic equalizer in Android smartphones, but I don't know if it's standard or if it's a feature of the manufacturer overlays, and therefore it might only be available on certain smartphones.

Are you using the speaker via Bluetooth? Or through a connection at the back?

Hello,

The "classic" solution (I mean the one used by the old-timers) is to elevate the speakers, preferably isolating them from any supports (furniture, floor) that transmit bass since this involves mechanical transmission.

But if the neighbors are disturbed, the only practical way to listen at your convenience while keeping the bass is to use a semi-closed or closed headset, for example a wireless or Bluetooth headset (and not earbuds) that will allow you to move around without wires.

Still, they need to not be disturbed by your shouts or singing.
